Stool Up

Stool Up is a graduation project. Five side tables/stools form a whole. During the design process, my focus was on functionality, particularly on the ability to provide extra seating without taking up extra storage space. Stool Up offers five extra seats and can be stacked to create a standing table for work or to place objects on. The construction is made of sheet material and finished with cork for a warm and soft look.

Bonding stool​

The triangular connection arose during a school assignment where we had to design something based on an emotion. I chose 'connection'. From the sketch to the construction to the final prototype. The stool is easy to assemble and is fixed at three points with an Allen key. This makes the stool very compact upon delivery. The middle part is also easily replaceable for a different color or possibly a seat with a cushion.

Grass Chair

My masterpiece is a chair entirely made of bamboo, hence the name. The entire structure is made of laminated strips that are glued around a mold. Due to the high tension, only PU glue was strong enough to hold the curves together. The visual emphasis is on the junction of the base and the upper part. The different angles were a challenge to implement in practice due to the curves and double inclinations.
